PARTICIPATION OF NUCLEONOVA, IN THE TECHNICAL COMMITTEE 73 OF UNE SPANISH ASSOCIATION OF NORMALIZATION AND NOMINATION AS EXPERTS.

Nucleonova participation in Technical Committee 73 of UNE Spanish Association for Standardization and nomination as experts

On January 26, 2021, the annual meeting of the CTN 73 Committee on Nuclear Energy, Nuclear Technologies and Radiological Protection took place, where the work carried out during the year 2020 was shared, as well as the action plan for the year 2,021.

It is a technical committee for standardization that forms part, together with other commissions, of the Spanish Association for Standardization (UNE). The field of activity of this Committee is framed within the normalization of the nuclear industry in its peaceful applications, including issues related to nuclear fuels, the design, construction and operation of facilities and equipment.

During the aforementioned meeting, the nomination of experts from the Working Groups (WG) and the representatives of the technical bodies where the CNT intervenes 73 was approved.

Specifically, Juan Antonio Muñoz has been nominated as Nucleonova expert, in the IEC / TC 45 / SC 45A / WG 10 group “Aging management of instrumentation, control and electrical power systems in NPP”, whose scope is as follows:

The Working Group WG10 produces and maintains standards and reports dealing with the ageing management of instrumentation, control (I&C) and electrical power systems for Nuclear Power Plants. This includes the replacement, upgrading and modernization of instrumentation, control and electrical power systems due to obsolescence, ageing, plant life extension activities and other economically, technically, or safety driven motivating factors. Standards covering issues related to the ageing of Nuclear Power Plant I&C and electrical power systems, such as the management of ageing and associated condition monitoring and diagnostic methods, are also included in the scope of WG 10.

Nucleonova continues to bet on its participation in strategic Organizations and Associations, forming part of groups of experts that set the guidelines for those activities and services that Nucleonova offers in its portfolio. This allows the brand to keep up to date and be at the forefront of the movements of the sector, which, in turn, has an impact on a greater capacity to offer pioneering services that comply with existing regulations and those that may arise, guaranteeing thus, to the highest degree, the quality and safety of the processes in which we are involved.
