Nucleonova participates in the 32nd CEIDEN Management Council

Last Thursday, April 5 took place at the storage center El Cabril (Hornachuelos, Cordova), the thirty-second Council CEIDEN Manager. The President of the platform, Rosario Velasco, opened the session by thanking his host ENRESA. In his speech, he highlighted the main activities and teachings regarding CEIDEN obtained from recent activities during their trip to Australia and its participation in the ASEM V Symposium (organization Asia-Europe Meeting ).

During the meeting, the Secretary General,  Paul T. León  (ENDESA), reported the situation of the main activities carried out since the General Assembly.

In addition, several presentations on topics of interest were made: by ENUSA ( José Manuel Alonso ) on the new approach to fuel group, with emphasis on activities around the tolerant accident fuel (ATF, for its acronym in English); by the Nuclear Industry Forum ( Pilar Sanchez ) on the launch of the joint group training and knowledge management; and by the CSN, the head of the Unit of Research and Knowledge Management,  Carlos Castelao , presented the current state and future prospects of the working group on degradation of materials. Later,  Enrique Cortegoso (CSN-CEIDEN) presented the developments in communication and dissemination as well as developments on the web platform.

The newest of the meeting point corresponded to the submission by the CIEMAT ( Luis Enrique Herranz ) of the activities of the European association NUGENIA, which CEIDEN just entered as an honorary member.

It is noteworthy that the meeting was attended  by three representatives of EPRI  ( Electric Power Research Institute ).

The day was completed with a technical visit to the facilities of ENRESA, led by the center’s director,  Eva Noguero . From CEIDEN, we want to thank this organization the possibility of being able to hold the meeting in its facilities and the fantastic visit to them.
